This is the popular methi no masala from Gujarat In Gujarat they call this sambhaar masala/methi masala. This is very handy for making any type of pickle(instant or yearly).
INGREDIENTS:-
Chilli powder- 1 and 1/4 cup
Methi (Fenugreek) -1/2 cup*
Salt-3/4 cup (as per taste)
Asafoetida- 2 tbls
Oil
PROCEDURE-
1. Heat oil and roast Methi Seeds
2. After roasting Methi seeds, let it cool down
3. Now grind roasted Methi seeds
4. Mix firmly Chilli Powder, Powdered Methi, Salt and Asafoetida
5. Heat oil in a pan till smoking point.
6. Let it cool down a bit till it comes to warm temperature.
7. Take all the spices in a bowl and pour in the warm oil.
8. Mix well .and keep aside for 1 hour.
9. Store in a glass jar when cool down completly and use when needed.
