The advent of winter season marks the availability of fresh amlas. It is quite simple to prepare amla juice at home. Amla or Indian gooseberry is popular since decades due to its nutritional benefits. In India, this fruit is used in making pickles, chutneys and murabbas. Amla juice is a healthy drink as it is a storehouse of vitamin C and other nutrients. Let's see how to prepare amla juice.
INGREDIENTS
8-12 Fresh Green Amla (Amda)
1 nos.small Ginger (AAdu)
2 nos. of Green Chilies (Lela Marcha)
4-5 nos. of Curry leaves (Kari patta)
1 teaspoon Jeera Powder (Jeeru)
Salt to taste
Cold Water depending on concentration & taste of juice.
PROCEDURE
Deseed and chop amla, now take all ingredients in a blender except water and make into fine puree. Strain them in a fine sieve. Add cold water in amla juice depeding on the concentration and taste and mix it well. Refrigerate amla juice for at 2-3 hour before serving it chilled. You can store in the fridge in a air tight bottle for up to 2-3 weeks.
