Fulwadi is crispy, fried rolls which is perfect as a snack. Fulwadi is a traditional gujarati snacks recipe which is medium spicy snack which can be eaten anytime. Also, you can store it for some time. You can carry it with you when you are doing traveling. Fulwadi is very tasty and healthy recipe which everybody loves.
INGREDIENTS
200 gm gram flour (Chana no Lot)
½ teaspoon baking soda (Khavano Soda or ENO)
Salt to taste (Mithu)
2 teaspoon red chili powder (Lal Marchu)
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder (Haldar)
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
40 gm sugar powdered (Khand)
1 teaspoon coriander seeds (Dhana jeeru)
1 teaspoon black pepper seeds (Mari powder)
5 gm sesame seeds (Tal)
100 gm curd (Dahi)
1 teaspoon oil (Tel)
PROCEDURE
Take a bowl and add curd, baking soda, salt, red chili powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and sugar and mix it well. Add 20-25 gm oil into this mixture. Now, add coriander seeds, black pepper seeds, sesame seeds into gram flour and knead to make dough. Covered the dough and keep aside it for 1-2 hours.
Shape each one into even sized thick rolls. Cut each roll into equal pieces & shape and roll each piece with rough ends. Heat oil in a frying pan on high flame. Deep fry a few pieces till they are golden brown or red in colour. Remove, drain and put them on an absorbent. Let it cool and store them in an airtight container. Fulwadi can be served with dahi raita or coariander chili chutney along with hot tea.
